At Hi-Tech Plumbing & Leak Detect, we offer multiple repair options to fit your budget, preference and save damage to your home.
Slab Access: The floor covering is removed, and the concrete slab is busted or cut sawed. The sand or soil under the concrete is then excavated down to the leaking pipe. The pipe is then repaired using high quality materials made to last. We then back-fill and replace the concrete to a rough finish, ready for your contractor of choice to install the finish flooring. The risk with this repair option, is the remaining portion of the line is the same material and age as the original leak. You may soon find another leak on this line; however, our workmanship and repair are guaranteed for 5 years.
Reroute Overhead: The leaking line is located at the manifold source and at the fixture the pipe is supplying. The drywall is cut open to expose the manifold in the wall at both ends. The leaking pipe is abandoned, and a new pipe is ran into the attic or under the home or through the walls to connect.
It is very important to understand reroute materials and limitations. Most plumbers use fittings that insert into the pipe and restrict flow. At Hi-Tech Plumbing & Leak Detect, we use original “Uponor” pipe and fittings, that allow for full port and flow through the pipes. The assembly process limits the number of fittings in the attic. Our installation process limits exposure to the elements of cold weather in the attic. In extreme temperatures, pipes could freeze, but the type of material allows for expansion to reduce the risk of the pipe bursting.
Pipe Sleeve: Depending on the size of the pipe and number of fixtures being served, it may be an option to run a smaller pipe inside the pipe that is leaking.
The leaking line is located at the manifold source and at the fixture the pipe is supplying. The drywall is cut open to expose the manifold in the wall at both ends. The leaking pipe is then used as a “host” for a smaller pipe to run through it. The new line is then rebuilt into the system.
Trenchless Method: Hi-Tech Plumbing & Leak Detect offers many trenchless methods from bursting the pipe from within and pulling a new pipe in place, to using epoxy coated felt to pull a new pipe in place over the break. We also offer boring services.
