REROUTE NIGHTMARE!
I located a leak under the slab floor today, and found it the best option to reroute the line. When I looked in the attic, I found some lines had been rerouted by a different plumber a few years ago. What a nightmare!
In the attic of this home, I found the pipes ran overhead were not insulated. The piping was looped up and the excess piping had not been cut out. This resulted in limiting the space in the attic, increasing the risk of pipe damage, and a higher risk the line will freeze.
The reroute is still the best repair option in this case, but we will have to correct the problem caused by the previous plumber or a bigger problem will result later!
